Two Mermaid Sconces and a Mermaid Mirror

I use just a nail that is angled upwards to hold up sconce, if you are going to put really heavy things on or if you have thin drywall you might want to put one of those plastic anchor bolt things. Also when placing a plank of any kind to make an extended shelf it might be a good idea to put a few of those cloth or plastic little pads or even just a small piece of paper.

When using two sconces as a shelf, getting them level is easy. Mount the first piece where you want it. To get the second one level with the first, measure the distance from the ceiling to the top of the first sconce. Then on the second sconce measure from its top to the wire. This is the distance from the ceiling to the nail for the second sconce.

A sconce in the bathroom holding some favorite items, or even outside next to the door so you can place things on it while you get your keys are great ideas for uses. Although not meant for outdoor use they will last for many years under an awning or patio. All my designs have a non gender look, they can be used by a guy or a gal and fit right in with their decor.

The Seahorse sconces have a nice look when paired. Several people have written me telling me how well they look above their aquarium.
