SLURP GUN

This project was created with Vectorworks. I really enjoy the analytical side of drawing. After drawing was complete I printed some of the more tricky pieces at full size and then glued them to plexiglass for cutting. I completed the making of the slurp gun and then used it to capture live fish for my aquarium. The box in the front bottom has double doors with magnetic locks that allow the animal to enter it while reloading. The box can then be removed and stored. The suction was achieved with surgical tubing drawing a wall backwards in the chamber and a shock absorber in the back to soften the recoil.

CAD is great to work out tricky designs for building. You can 3d rotate the drawing for study and adjustments before cutting and real material.
