Traditional Illustration

Illustration differs from fine art in that it is for a commercial use. But some illustration can be fine art. I can render a loose style for faster graphics like the one on the left or more painterly. Creating a digital file from a traditional illustration requires skill, color correcting, proper size for job, formatting for print.

I made a short series of coloring book drawings. I posted them on the internet as 'free coloring book pages'.

Themed illustrations for book covers, magazines, or color ads. I can do the Illustration, photography, digital layout for print. This one was drawn with pastels.

These are samples from an educational book I illustrated for kids. I used conte crayon and felt pens. I have made 100's of illustrations with this technique.

These two drawings are for a student medical book I illustrated, about 40 drawings. The client wanted a more relaxed almost cartoon style. All the drawings were created with a digital drawing pad.
