This piece came out just like I envisioned it, I put an antique padlock on it to complete the look.
I made it for my nephew, he is 13 and needs a locking chest since he's in a big family. I first drew the layout in Vectorworks, a CAD program. Then cut the pieces of angle iron and welded the frame, rebar handles bent with a metal bender. After welding I use sheet metal, I used one sheet cut for the top and another for the bottom, this added strength and inacessability to the inside of the box. They are then riveted to the frame.
For graphics - a skull font and older letter style converted to outline, using a vinyl cutter to make the stickers and then applied them.
